Symmetrical insects

This is my symmetrical insect. We made these on Thursday. This is how you make them.

First you fold the paper in half and then draw your design. Then go over it in black pastel.

Then trace it on the other side. After that colour it in with pastels then dye the background.

Highlights 2015

Lets go All Blacks!!!

Today we had to dress up in black clothes for the big All Blacks game. 

A lot of people were dressed in really cool clothes. There was so much

black in the school. I hope the All Blacks win.

Personal Recount~ I was so scared

I was so scared.

BOOM! The lights instantly turn off. I can see nothing. My heart is pounding so hard like it is going to jump out of my chest  and I trying so hard to be as quiet as possible. I tiptoe, trying to make my feet not make any noise, because I certainly don't want to set the alarms off. My hands are in front on someone's shoulders . I can see a light in front of me. As we are just about there everyone screams and yells and we all run as fast as we can into the light.

Personal Recounts~ I was so mad

I was so mad.Slam! The door flew back behind me and my feet were stomping on the ground like I was going to make a hole in the ground. My face was as red as fire and looked like it was going to explode. I was frantically punching my bed and pulling my hair. I was kicking the ground and all of this was because my stupid brothers accused me of breaking a plant pot. That day was horrible.

My birthday memory.

Splash, as I fell down into the pool from the hydro slide. All the water sprung up on my face. My feet hit the ground in a hard thump. My head got dunked under the water. My hair spread out in the water as I moved to the slide. When I walked out it felt like I was in a slow motion world.

¨ To make sure I always use commas, speech marks, question marks and exclamation marks when I write ( , “ ? ! )

¨ To slope and link correctly so I can start writing in pen

SPUD GUN FUN!!!

On Friday 27th of August we made spud guns. A lady called miss skiving came to show us how to make them. It was really fun. We blasted so many potatoes.

My Term 3 Goals

My Goals for term 3 are:

¨ To practise my speech really well so that I know it and can present it with confidence

¨ To use good eye-contact with my audience and stand confidently when I present my speech or take part in the school production

¨ To learn my 3, 4, 5 and 6 times tables off by heart

¨ To reduce the amount of rubbish I create and to become better at reusing and recycling

Making Popcorn

Today in Room 4 we made popcorn. We needed oil a pot popcorn kernels.
First we put oil in the pot then we put the kernels in and Mrs May turned
the heat on it on. We had to wait and wait for it to finally start popping.
 When it had all popped we all got to enjoy the popcorn. I love popcorn
